Questions
Does BuildCheap charge me for AI?
No. ChatGPT or Claude writes the site on the plan you already have. BuildCheap stores the files and hosts them, so no BuildCheap AI credits are used.
Which ChatGPT or Claude plan do I need?
One that lets you add apps or connectors. In Claude the Add button opens the connector screen with BuildCheap filled in. In ChatGPT you add it under Settings → Apps with the copied link.
What kind of sites can it publish?
Static sites: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, up to 80 files and 4 MB. Landing pages, waitlists, portfolios, menus, event pages, small tools. Apps that need a build step (React, Next.js) are built in the BuildCheap web app or with Claude Code instead.
What do I get for free?
1 live site from ChatGPT or Claude, with a small “Made with BuildCheap” link in the corner. You can keep changing it as often as you like. When you want a second site, your assistant shows you the upgrade link.
What happens if I cancel BYO AI?
Your sites stay live. You go back to the free plan: your oldest site from the chat stays editable, and new publishes show the badge again.
Can I get my code?
Yes. It’s plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Ask your assistant for the files, or open the site in BuildCheap.
